The Metal Gear Solid HD and Zone of the Enders HD Collections will both be released on PlayStation Vita as well as on PS3 and Xbox 360.
The MGS Collection contains HD versions of Metal Gear Solid’s 2 and 3 as well as PSP title Peace Walker.
The ZOE bundle includes both the first Zone of the Enders game and the sequel Second Runner.
These portable releases are possible thanks to Konami’s new Fox Engine, which will support Vita as well as PS3 and Xbox 360.
We’re yet to hear about a release date, though Konami has warned that the wait could be a long one.
Of course, there’s still no indication that any publisher is planning to release SKUs containing both the PS3 and Vita versions of titles.
One option would be to release a premium version of a title – priced, say, between 10 and 20 more than the standalone – that as well as including the disc-based PS3 version also included a code to download a digital version of the game for Vita.
