Metro producer: Last Light on PC "the best looking game, period"

Metro: Last Light producer Huw Beynon has written a verbal check he fully expects 4A Games’ shooter to cash.

I firmly believe that the PC version of Metro: Last Light is one of, if not the best looking game you can actually buy, period, at the moment,” Beynon told Eurogamer.

If someone asks me are we doing a next-gen version – well, yes we are. It’s the PC. We’re one of the few studios out there that have a proven piece of tech that’s built for high-end PCs.”

Beynon made it clear that by no means was he implying the console versions will be an inferior product, just that the PC version has taken the team to new heights.

We’re still proud of how we’ve managed to adapt that for the current generation of console, [but the PC has a] different potential.”

Metro: Last Light is set to launch on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 on May 14th in North America, and May 17th in Europe. Deep Silver will be handling the publishing duties, following former publisher THQ’s collapse.
