Xbox One’s Elite controller won’t be the console’s only remappable peripheral for long, Microsoft has confirmed.
The firm’s director of program management Mike Ybarra explained onTwitterthat configuration options are coming for all controllers soon.”
TheXbox One Elite controllerwill carry features and customization options beyond button remapping, which is largely why it costs $90 more than the hardware’s standard line of controllers. It launches on October 27th, alongside the release of Halo 5: Guardians.
Ybarra didn’t mention when Microsoft specifically plans to add configuration support for all Xbox One controllers. The new Xbox One Experience is scheduled to arrive in November, packing a new user interface andXbox 360 backwards compatibility.
