Minecraft confirmed as PS4 launch title

Indie phenomenon Minecraft is heading to PlayStation 4.

The game was announced by Sony’s Jim Ryan during the platform holder’s Gamescom conference.

What’s more, it will be a launch title when PlayStation 4 arrives later this year.

Minecraft has done phenomenally well on Xbox Live Arcade, with the retail version a strong seller for Xbox 360 and an Xbox One in the works.
