Moore questions PS3 pricing

In an interview with The Washington Post, Moore stated: “Tell me, why would you buy a $600 PS3? People are going to buy two consoles – they’re going to buy 360 and they’re going to buy Wii – both for the price of one PS3.”

Moore’s attack on Sony continued: “We have 100 per cent market share of the next-generation, and their job is to take that from us. When I think about everything that we’ve got going right now that is real, versus what Sony promises to do in six or seven months from now, obviously we feel very good about where we stand.”

In a different interview, Moore went on to heap further praise on Nintendo. “People will always gravitate toward a competitively priced product,” he told Reuters. “That’s what I believe Wii will be. It has innovative new designs and great IP such as Mario, Zelda and Metroid.

Nintendo is yet to confirm its final price or release date for Wii.
