Moore reveals FIFA Ultimate Team stats as service reaches fifth birthday

FIFA Ultimate Team is five years old and to celebrate EA COO and former EA Sports boss Peter Moore has unleashed some impressive stats.

In an infographic shared on Twitter and reproduced below, Moore revealed that 64 per cent of all FIFA players now play Ultimate Team mode and that since its introduction in FIFA 09 there have been a total of 21,849,017 unique FUT players.

1.46bn transfers listed so far in FIFA 14 Ultimate Team, with 13m listed per day and 542,000 per hour. 725m matches played so far with 264,000 matches per day and 11,000 per hour.

Also below is a video tweeted by Leaders in Digital Sport, which was retweeted by Moore, in which the exec discusses the treasure-trove of data that Ultimate Team allows EA to share with partner football clubs.

[It’s a] torrent of data – every goal scored, every team picked, player positions – and that data is shared back to the clubs,” he said.

Going on to show a heat map of IP addresses of people who have played as Liverpool in the game, Moore, citing the mantra enquire, engage and monetise”

added: Tracking fans is what we do, sharing data with Liverpool Football Club is what we do.”
