Liam Donnelly will broaden his current role as human resources director to take full responsibility for business strategy to review current business plans and formulate long term strategies. He has five years’ experience as an HMV board director.
The vacant role of operations director is now to be advertised internally and externally, with current managing director Steve Knott overseeing the role until a replacement is found.
The 2005 financials proved to be hugely disappointing for the retailer, with operating profits falling from £15.7 million in 2004 to £2.8 million last year.
