SCi attributed the rise predominantly to the strong performance of Lego Star Wars, which it distributes, the title having achieved sales of over three million since its release last April.
The company also confirmed a new Lego title in development, based on the successful Bionicle range, which it will co-publish with Giant in its 2007 financial year.
As revealed by MCV (13/1), a PSP version of new Lara Croft adventure Tomb Raider: Legend was also announced for release this summer. Meanwhile, a special edition to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the franchise was reconfirmed for later this year.
The Group further revealed that, following approaches it received last October from potential suitors: “The Board remains in discussions and will update shareholders as to any developments when appropriate.”
