Namco Bandai bolsters marketing team

Three new professionals have joined Namco Bandai’s PR and marketing team.

Former Vivendi and Koch man Gary Chantler has joined the company as product manager, working on upcoming titles including Ridge Racer Unbounded, Inversion and other currently unannounced projects.

He joins Blaise Rodier, who recently joined Namco Bandai and will look after Dark Souls, the 3DS catalogue of titles (including Ridge Racer 3D), Earth Defense Force, Dragon Ball Z and Naruto.

The firm has also hired Joseph Walsh as PR and marketing support. He will work within the UK marketing team to manage customer services, communities, events and IT.

The new recruits join product manager Lauren Bradley and PR executive Peter Oliver. Bradley is working on the Tekken franchise, Ace Combat, The Witcher 2 and Yoostar 2.

I’m delighted by the strong passionate dream team in the UK marketing department,” said Namco Bandai’s UK marketing director Lee Kirton.

We now have a very challenging time ahead with some incredibly exciting titles and this is the perfect team focused on achieving our success.”

Kirton added that the team is now in place to help drive the company’s ambition to become a Top Five global publisher.
