NAMCO BANDAI: Tekken Tag Tournament 2 drives increased revenue

Namco Bandai has reported an increase in revenue over the last half year thanks in part to solid Tekken Tag Tournament 2 sales.

The fighting game-focused firm revealed in its latest financial statement a 15 per cent rise in revenue YOY for the period concluding at the end of September.

Net sales were up 116 per cent compared to the same period last year thanks to a combination of titles lead by TTT2. Since its launch, the sequel has sold 840,000 units.

Soul Calibur V moved 680,000 copies in the period, bringing total sales for the game to 1.38m units.

Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm also made a splash during the same period, selling 550,00 units — bringing its lifetime sales to 1.01m units.
