Namco confirms Fallout: New Vegas deal

Following on from the European distribution agreement signed between Fallout and Elder Scrolls developer Bethesda and long-lived games firm Namco Bandai last year, the latter firm has confirmed its Euro plans for the upcoming Fallout: New Vegas.

Namco Bandai will distribute the game in France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Benelux, Nordic, Australia and New Zealand.

We are pleased to be teaming up with Namco Bandai Partners to distribute one of our flagship titles,” Zenimax Europe MD Sean Brennan stated.

Fallout: New Vegas builds upon the immersive gaming experience that made Fallout 3 the 2008 Game of the Year. We are extremely happy to be able to offer Fallout fans with another premium gaming experience.

Namco Bandai Partners have a terrific European distribution network and this partnership will help establish Fallout: New Vegas as one of the premier games of 2010.”

The game is being developed by RPG specialist Obsidian under the strict watch of Fallout 3 developer Bethesda.

Fallout: New Vegas is due out on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC some time this year. It had originally been penned in for a Q1 2010 release but has a current TBA release date.
