MMO publisher NCsoft’s sales rose to 647.9bn South Korean Won (or £360.6m) last year.
The consolidated sales increased by two per cent year-on-year, while operating profit rose by four per cent to 242.9bn Won (£145.7m).
NCsoft broke its own records with Lineage reaching its greatest annual sales ever, generating 181.2bn Won.
Combined sales and operating profit of the firm’s three biggest titles – Lineage, Lineage II and Aion – reached three trillion Won. Aion achieved its third consecutive year of growth.
Korea remains the biggest territory for NCsoft, generating 416.6bn Won in sales, followed by Japan (79.2bn Won) and North America (48.6bn Won). Europe came in fourth, with sales of 34.3bn Won.
“These results mark another successful year for NCsoft,” the publisher’s European managing director Veronique Lallier told MCV.
“We’ve not only maintained steady growth but also broken sales records with our veteran MMO title Lineage, which celebrated its 12th anniversary last year. We have accomplished this through the strength of our content and the vigour of our community.
“NCsoft, like most MMO companies, provide a service rather than just sell a box. Our success comes from the quality of that service and our ability to communicate with our players on a daily basis.
“Traditional games publishing models need to adapt and reflect this. It’s not the end of traditional games publishing models, but we’re witnessing a monumental change from those of old.”
The firm expects to build on this momentum, with further growth generated by new releases such as Guild Wars 2.
