New distributor targets indie games stores

A new independent-friendly distribution firm has been set up just in time for Christmas.

A Game Distribution – which also sponsored the MCV/Xbox 360 industry Pub Quiz last week – focuses on independent retailers across Europe. It also offers logistics and promotional services.

The London-based firm was established last month by operations director Adam Harris.

“We are a full service games distributor focused on supporting the global independent market as well as the promotions market,” he told MCV.

“We can offer brand-targeted white-label logistics for any store or promoter in Europe. The indie market is our key focus when it comes to distribution, but we believe firmly in supporting Europe as a whole and not just the UK.”

The firm is working with a number of household brands and marketing agencies on promotional campaigns throughout Christmas.

A Game Distribution also told MCV about its ongoing plans for the year ahead.

“Having only begun trading at the beginning of October, we are in line with targets and will complete our first quarter just ahead of budget,” Harris added.

“We will look to expand our sales team early next year to give us good footing for the busy first half of 2011.”
