New Euro boss for Capcom as Beaumont extends his role

Beaumont has held the post of senior VP and officer of the Americas since joining Capcom from Midway in 2005. He now takes additional responsibility for all of Capcom’s software business in the West and will report to the publisher’s managing corporate officer and head of video game business Katsuhiko Ichii, as well as Capcom Entertainment president and acting CEO Hiroshi Tobisawa.

“Mark has significantly and steadily grown revenue in the Americas by revamping the sales organisation, driving market awareness, consolidating distribution, improving forecasting, increasing inventory control and taking two of our largest retail accounts direct,” said Tobisawa.

“We are positioning Capcom for the future by strengthening our presence and development in the West. Mark will now apply his strategies, which have already resulted in strong North American growth, to the European markets.”

Beaumont has been in the games industry for over 25 years, dating back to the original Atari.
