Nights into dreams HD announced

SEGA has confirmed that fan favourite Nights into dreams is getting the HD treatment.

The HD remake will launch on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and PC this autumn.

The title was first teased via Facebook earlier this week.

Vice president Chris Olson said: The Sega Saturn offered many unique gaming experiences, and Nights into dreams stands out as one of the most recognisable titles that found a home on the system.

We’ve gotten a lot of requests about this game over the years, and are very happy to be able to give both former Saturn owners and new players a chance to play it in its most beautiful form to date this autumn.”

The HD version will include improved leaderboards, trophies and achievements, 16:9 aspect ratio, as well as improved graphics. Players can also choose to play the game with the original graphics activated.

Initially released for SEGA Saturn in 1996, Nights into dreams became a firm fan favourite thanks to its innovative 3D gameplay and multi-faceted level design.
