A major 3DS update with some significant feature additions is on the way, Nintendo has announced.
The firm detailed the upcoming patch during its Nintendo Direct broadcast earlier today, revealing that support for Wii U’s Miiverse social network and YouTube will be onboard.
The update will also pack an oft-requested balance combining option, which will allow Nintendo account users to combine 3DS and Wii U funds.
Users will need to sign up with the same username on both handheld and console to use the funds to purchase content on either platform.
Nintendo expects the system update to drop sometime in December.
