NINTENDO: Core support for Wii U

Though most of the Wii U software shown off at E3 today remains in what American boss Reggie Fils-Aime describes as "the conceptual phase", a host of publishers have already committed some of their greatest core IP to Nintendo's new baby.

Amongst the games confirmed are Warner's Batman: Arkham City, Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed and Ghost Recon, Tecmo Koei's Ninja Gaiden 3, THQ's Darksiders II and Metro: Last Light, Namco's Tekken and Sega's Aliens: Colonial Marines.

EA boss John Riccitiello also took to the stage to name-drop a number of key franchises such as Battlefield 3, though the exec fell short of actually confirming any titles.

Looking at the graphics on offer, they look to be comparable with early titles for the Xbox 360.
