The company has now raised its profit outlook to a record for the second time this year, reports Bloomberg.
Net income jumped to 132.4 billion yen (£586 million) in the six months to September 30th, from 54.3 billion yen (£232 million), a year earlier.
Sales climbed from 298.8 billion yen (£1.27 billion) to 694.8 billion yen (£2.96 billion).
Operating profit rose to 188.8 billion yen (£806 million) in the half- year from 67.1 billion yen (£287 million) a year earlier.
Nintendo has now raised its annual profit outlook to 275 billion yen (£1.17 billion) from a July forecast of 245 billion yen (£1.05 billion).
The firm, whose market value more than doubled this year, sold 7.33 million Wii players in the half.
