NINTENDO: NBA Jam on show at conference

Speaking at the Nintendo E3 press conference, president and CCO of Nintendo America Reggie Fils-Aime has pointed to the forthcoming NBA Jam as a case in point to demonstrate the Wii as a choice destination for sports games.

While little else is known about the title, it is set to be playable on the E3 show floor, suggesting it’s development is well underway.

NBA Jam was originally released on the arcade and consoles in 1993, and still courts affection today.

Fils-Aime suggested that the Wii stands as a premium platform for sporting games, claiming that when it comes to athletically-themed titles "developers can choose between ultra-realism and over the top arcade fun".
