Group sales soared 70 percent to 298.82 billion yen (€1.98 billion) from 176.36 billion yen (€1.17 billion) in the same period last year.
The massive increase follows the incredible performance of the DS this year, which sold 10.9 million units worldwide in the fiscal period. Nintendo has now raised its full year shipment forecast for the console to 20 million from 17 million.
