Nintendo to distribute Monster Hunter Tri in Europe

Monster Hunter Tri for Wii will be distributed in Europe and Australia by Nintendo.

The platform holder will be responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution, while Capcom will remain the publisher. The game is due in April.

This is not the first time Nintendo has handled Capcom products in Europe and Australia, with the two collaborating on previous titles including Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles and Zack and Wiki.

Monster Hunter has a huge and passionate following in Japan and we are looking forward to introducing the Monster Hunter Tri to a whole new audience in Europe as the series makes its first appearance on the Wii,” said Nintendo of Europe managing director Laurent Fischer.

Capcom Europe senior director of marketing Michael Pattison added: Nintendo has identified Monster Hunter Tri as a key title for the Wii platform in 2010. We are really excited about partnering with Nintendo to further develop this franchise.”
