Nintendo trusts Tomy with Mario Kart toys

It’s going to be a Mario Kart Christmas if Nintendo gets their way, as the firm has teamed up with Tomy for a range of new toys.

Ahead of the release of Mario Kart 7 on 3DS, Tomy is launching a selection of themed K’Nex sets, inspired by the previous game in the series – Mario Kart Wii.

The sets include karts, classic tracks and even obstacles for kids to avoid.

There are 12 different products in total, ranging from the Mario and Luigi Bike Building Set with an RRP of 7.99 to the K’Nex Bowsers Castle Ultimate set, which has an on-sale price of 99.99.

Tomy is also launching Choro-Q remote control Mario Kart sets. Consumers can either buy a Mario or a Yoshi for 16.99, or get both together with a range of accessories for 39.99.

The toys are already being sold in specialists including Toys ‘R’ Us and The Entertainer.
