The release date and price of the Wii U is expected to be revealed at 3pm UK time on Thursday September 13th.
That’s the time Nintendo has confirmed for its big New York press event, that will be livestreamed around the world.
It’s possible that the UK and European details will follow shortly after. Oh, and don’t forget that due to previous historical complications Nintendo never officially sets an RRP in the UK, so we’ll have to wait for retailers to receive the trade price and extrapolate the shelf price from that.
Of course, you may want to make a calendar note for the day before, too.
Apple will reveal the iPhone 5 in a US press conference that kicks off at 6pm on Wednesday September 12th. It’s also possible that an iPad Mini will be unveiled at the vent, but we’ll have to see.
With regard to what will be announced, the Wii U looks set for a late November or early December arrival in the UK. Less certain is the price, which could realistically land at anything between £179.99 and £299.99 – that’s quite a broad range!
iPhone 5 is expected to be released on Friday September 21st. Pricing will depend on the network and price plan offered by the supplier it is purchased from.
