No EA Season Ticket for PS3

The new EA Sports Season Ticket digital game download service will not arrive on PS3 in the UK and Europe.

EA says it has not reached an agreement with Sony, which means for now the service will only go live on PS3 in North America, Australia and New Zealand. Those territories also get the Xbox 360 version.

The Season Ticket service– announced earlier today – charges users an annual fee in exchange for a range of digital benefits. These include a 20 per cent saving on DLC and the ability to download games like FIFA 12 three days before they arrive in stores.

A statement sent to MCV read: "It’s a part of EA Sports’ new ‘Season Ticket’ service which charges users an annual fee of 2,000 Microsoft Points or $24.99 in exchange for a range of digital benefits."

The service is currently only available in the UK and Europe on Xbox 360.
