No ETA for PSN restoration in Japan

Japanese gamers are still none the wiser as to when the PlayStation Network will be fully restored in their country where the PS Store still remains offline.

When PSN was eventually reactivated last month, the Japanese government stepped in to block its restoration in Japan saying that it wanted further assurances about the network’s security.

However, a new note from Sony – translated by Andriasang – says that the wait is not over yet.

"Sony broke about two weeks of silence regarding the Japanese PlayStation Network and Qriocity services today, but it did not have much to say," the site says.

"A brief notice apologised for the long wait but said that more time is needed to make adjustments with the various related parties. The notice did not provide an estimate on when full service will be restored."
