Noel Gallagher blames games for street violence

While picking up an award at the O2 Silver Clef music awards last week, Oasis singer, writer and guitarist Noel Gallagher voiced his thoughts on street violence, claiming video games were in part to blame.

People say it’s through violent video games and I guess that’s got something to do with it.”

Speaking about his fears about his children growing up in the UK, Gallagher said:
"If kids are sitting up all night smoking super skunk cannabis and they come so desensitised to crime because they’re playing these video games, it’s really, really scary.”

He continued: In my day, status was trying to be somebody, do you know what I mean, not trying to kill somebody?"
