Some American PSN users have had their account passwords reset by Sony.
Sony Europe last week did the same for some users on this side of Atlantic “as a precautionary measure” following the detection of some non-specific “irregular activity”.
The same it seems is now true in the US.
“We routinely monitor for irregular activity,” a rep told Kotaku. “If such activity is detected, we may sometimes reset passwords of affected SEN accounts as a precautionary measure to protect consumers and their account information.”
There’s no suggestion that anything other than a handful of users have been affected.
