NX launch date set for March 2017; No E3 showing for console

Nintendo has confirmed a launch date for the NX – and it’s nearly a year away.

The console will be released in March 2017. This means it will not directly compete with the PS4 Neo, or the rumoured Xbox One upgrade, although whether this has factored into the decision is unknown.

Nintendo has also confirmed that its new console will not be appearing at E3. It will instead use the show to focus on its new Zelda game for Wii U.
