Okami-related announcement planned for next week

Capcom has teased a reveal for something regarding Okami.

IGN points to a post on the franchise’s official Japanese Twitter account, translating to:

"Hello, this is Okami news. Sorry I’ve been kind of out of touch lately, but I have the feeling we’ll be able to drop a fresh announcement like WHAM! around the beginning of Golden Week, so please look forward to it. Right now we’re on track with preparations."

Golden Week is a series of Japanese holidays that fall between April 29th and May 5th, so odds are we’ll get some more tangible info then.

Okami was originally released on the PS2 in 2006, and launched on the Wii in 2008. The game also had an HD remastered edition make its way onto PSN late last year, along with a 2010 prequel entitled Okamiden for Nintendo DS.
