Out now: Wonderbook: Book of Spells, Hitman: Absolution

The first game from Sony’s latest foray into augmented reality gaming – Wonderbook: Book of Spells, is in stores now for PS3.

This week’s other big release – Hitman: Absolution, however, is witnessing a bit of a staggered release.

Sony is betting big on the interactive story-telling space with Wonderbook and child actor Darsheel Safary was present at Landmark in Mumbai for the launch of Book of Spells.

The PlayStation Move-based game, which features new and original writing from J.K. Rowling, is now in stores for Rs 2,499.

Agent 47 received a fitting welcome back this week, with stores in Mumbai and Delhi hosting midnight launch events for Hitman: Absolution. However, only a few SKUs of the game seem to have made it to stores.

While the PS3 and Xbox 360 standard editions of the game are readily available, the PC version is yet to arrive.

Both the Standard Professional Edition and the Deluxe Professional Edition are also yet to reach retailers.

The game was set for release on 20th November, and Diwali festivities and an unscheduled bandhin Mumbai over the weekend are said to have caused the delays.
