Over 70 developers and publishers pledge support for PS4

More than 70 game companies have been confirmed as licensed developers and publishers for the PS4.

The likes of Activision, Bungie, Blizzard Ubisoft, Capcom, Square Enix, Splash Damage, Blitz Games Studios, GungHO, 2K Games, EA and Starbreeze are all eyeing up producing content for the new console.

Throughout the platform's unveiling event last night in New York, a number of first and third-party studios showed off brand new games for the PS4.

A plethora of game reveals included Guerrilla Games' Killzone Shadowfall, Evolution Studios' Drive Club, Sucker Punch's InFamous 3, Capcom title Deep Down and Ubisoft's Watch Dogs.

While this doesn't necessarily mean we can expect games from all of them straight away, the number of third-party developers and publishers interested in supporting the console will be a huge boon for Sony, with console rival Nintendo currently struggling somewhat to gather support from external developers on the Wii U.

You can see the list of licensed PS4 companies, as taken from a presentation slide, below.
