Oxygen Games crashes out

UK publishing outfit Oxygen Games has fallen into administration, MCV can reveal.

The UK company was best known for its PDC World Championship Darts games, and recently released crime-solving title Cate West: The Vanishing Files on DS and Wii.

MCV understands that Carolynn Clark and Martin Buttriss at FA Simms & Partners Ltd have been appointed as the firm’s administrators.

More details will follow on MCVUK.com later today.

Oxygen announced in January that it had closed internal development and was moving back to ‘a more traditional publisher model’.

The firm had become a casual gaming specialist in recent years, including its MyGames range for pre-teens.

It also set up shop in the US in 2007.
