Notable strategy and RPG publisher Paradox Interactive aims to branch out from its PC roots, pledging to bring games “based on existing and new brands” to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Shacknews reports on company CEO Fred Wester's declaration of support for the recently launched next-gen consoles.
"You can be a truly digital publisher on the new consoles," Wester said. "Previously [Microsoft and Sony ran] closed systems, but now I feel like they're focusing on giving gamers better experiences."
The publisher plans to support Steam OS hardware as well, and has also expanded its focus to iOS and Android platforms – establishing a new team dedicated exclusively to mobile efforts.
The news came alongside the unveiling of two upcoming titles for the publisher: grand strategy sequel Hearts of Iron 4, and nd new action RPG Runemaster. No release or (more applicably) platform details were provided in the reveal of either title.
