Paradox pledges support for PS4, Xbox One

Notable strategy and RPG publisher Paradox Interactive aims to branch out from its PC roots, pledging to bring games based on existing and new brands” to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Shacknews reports on company CEO Fred Wester’s declaration of support for the recently launched next-gen consoles.

"You can be a truly digital publisher on the new consoles," Wester said. "Previously [Microsoft and Sony ran] closed systems, but now I feel like they’re focusing on giving gamers better experiences."

The publisher plans to support Steam OS hardware as well, and has also expanded its focus to iOS and Android platforms – establishing a new team dedicated exclusively to mobile efforts.

The news came alongside the unveiling of two upcoming titles for the publisher: grand strategy sequel Hearts of Iron 4, and nd new action RPG Runemaster. No release or (more applicably) platform details were provided in the reveal of either title.
