PewDiePie: Deactivating YouTube comments has made me happier

YouTube’s biggest celebrity has said the decision to turn off comments on his videos has improved his life.

Felix Kjellberg, as he is otherwise known, flicked the switch on comments in September after admitting he was sick” of the spam and self-advertising.

Before I turned off my comments, I think things were going downhill, I would say,” he said in a video celebrating his 31,970,288th YouTube subscriber, as reported by Polygon. Making that change I feel like we’re going back up. It’s been making me really happy, and making me really enjoy what I do, which is something very important to me."

"Even though something may not be exactly the way you want it to be, you still support me, which is my point."

PewDiePie has more YouTube subscribers than anyone else. He makes an estimated $4m+ per year and even has the power to propel previously discontinued games back to the presses.
