Play.com scoops Which? Award

Play.com has won the Which? Best Online Retailer Award for the second year running.

The retailer was praised for its value and customer service, and follows the firm’s triumph at the MCV Awards in April.

The Which? Awards took place at the British Museum in London last night (Tuesday 9th) and other firms up for the online award included screwfix.com, Lakeland.co.uk and lizearle.com.

John Lewis won the High Street Retailer 2009 award.

"We are delighted to win this award and receive the continued endorsement of the ever-discerning Which? experts,” said Play.com COO Stuart Rowe.

At a time when money is tight, consumers are looking to buy from brands they trust and holding on to that trust is key to everything we do at Play.com. This respected award is an testament of just that, and we’re committed to making it a hat-trick next year to become the first brand to win it three times in a row.

"But 2009 is not over yet. With our summer sponsorship of Take That’s The Circus Live 2009 tour and an exciting Christmas period ahead, our customers can look forward to even more great products and fantastic service."
