Playcaso, a Mumbai-based developer and publisher focussing on casual and social games, has introduced the Playcaso Publishing Program designed to aide indie developers in reaching a global audience.
The company, which was recently incubated by Nazara Technologies, aims to employ a variety of publishing models to help fill the “gaps in the ecosystem”, including challenges commonly faced by many indie developers, such as lack of resources, funds or publishing experience.
“The publishing program is an attempt from our end to assist indie developers globally to build and promote their games effectively. There are lots of developers out there who have the talent and the potential to build fantastic games but fall short somewhere,” said Ninad Chhaya, COO at Playcaso.
The publisher already has 5-6 games lined up for release over the coming months under the Playcaso Publishing Program.
Playcaso also recently made its iOS App Store debut with Smell Raiser and Tap Tap Sushi, both of which are available for $0.99. Free ad-supported versions are also in the pipeline.
