GAMESCOM: Sony has confirmed that its innovative PlayStation 3D Display monitor will be available in Europe before the year is out.
The device was announced at E3 and is billed as an affordable alternative to 3D TVs, ideally suited for gaming. It will also feature Sony's Simulview technology, which allows players to see seperate images, enabling local multiplayer matches without the need for splitscreen.
During its Gamescom press conference, Sony announced that the monitor would be released in Europe this Autumn, and will retail for €499.
It will come bundled with two pairs of 3D glasses.

Cheaper to buy a big screen 3D tv. But until 3D is available without glasses, I'm gonna stick with my regular LCD.
