PlayStation TV will cost £84.99 in the UK

UPDATE: Sony has told MCV that PlayStation TV will not be bundled with a DualShock 3 in the UK.

ORIGINAL STORY: Sony has confirmed the RRP for PlayStation TV in the UK.

T3 reports that the streaming device will cost 84.99 when it arrives on these shores in the autumn. That includes a bundled DualShock 3, although the PS4’s DualShock 4 is also compatible for those who’d prefer to use that instead.

It will cost €99 in Europe.

Chief functionality includes the ability to stream PS4 games and access titles through Sony’s PlayStation Now service – although of course that does not yet have a date in the UK, despite its July rollout in the US.

It also offers video streaming features.

PS Vita TV, as it was called in Japan, has struggled to shift in significant volumes in Sony’s homeland, despite a surge of interest at release.
