QA outfit expands service offerings with purchase of Develop Award-winning studio

Pole To Win acquires Side

QA and localisation specialist Pole To Win has acquired London-based creative services company Side.

Side provides services for character performance in games, including casting, directing, voice production, performance capture and localisation. It recently took home the Develop Award for Creative Outsourcer – Audio for its work on Creative Assembly’s Alien: Isolation.

The deal with Pole to Win was signed on August 10th. No further details were provided on the terms of the acquisition.

Pole To Win COO Deborah Kirkham said the purchase was part of the firm’s plans to increase its service offerings.

"The additional capabilities that Side offers such as voice production, performance capture services, and script writing will benefit Pole To Win’s top priority — our clients," she said.

Side MD Andy Emery added: "In Pole To Win, we have a partner that understands the importance of this quality first approach and brings the scale and support of an experienced team with an international presence. We’re excited about the opportunity this brings to further develop and deliver our services for clients from around the world.”
