PopCap announces Popcorn Dragon

The casual gaming giant has lifted the lid on its next mobile title: Popcorn Dragon for iOS.

The game gives player control over a dragon and challenges them to pop kernels of popcorn using his ability to breath fly. They’ve also got to have the dragon eat as much of the popcorn as possible.

The challenge will come from both the rate at which kernels pass through the screen and the various cartoony enemies that will swarm around trying to stun the dragon.

Popcorn Dragon will be released for iPad and iPhone this winter, according to Wired.

PopCap unveiled the game at a press event in New York ahead of New York Comic-Con, which takes place this weekend.
