PS3 launch stock slashed in half

It means that around 400,000 PS3’s will be available day one in the US, while Japan will receive around 100,000, says the report.

Despite this setback, Sony insists that it will still reach its forecast of shipping six million PS3 units worldwide by March 2007.

"We decided to focus on the Japanese and US markets,” said Kuturagi. “I am so sorry not to be able to answer to all the expectations."
