The launch of PlayStation 4 has had a big impact on Vita sales, Sony says.
Sales of the handheld jumped 68 per cent after the PS4 launched, and rose 65 per cent the week after.
The publisher kicked off a new Vita campaign, which promotes the connectivity functionality between Vita and PS4. The firm has also been pushing critically acclaimed budget title, Tearaway.
“PS Vita sales wise we are continuing to see strong week-on-week growth since our latest campaign kicked in,” said senior product manager Ben Law.
“The new TV advert went live this week and we’ve already seen amazing feedback from PS4 owners on the Remote Play feature, and the success of Tearaway highlights what an great proposition PS Vita is, either as a stand-alone device or as the perfect companion to PS4.”
