Razer and Nacon are making pro PS4 controllers

Sony has announced that both Razer and Nacon are creating officially licensed pro controllers for the PS4.

Both controllers will work with all models of the PS4, including the upcoming PS4 Pro. They have been designed with the eSports market in mind and have a ton of extra features not seen on the standard controller. As you would expect they also include all the standard inputs found on the Dualshock 4.

Razer’s offering is known as the Raiju and has two extra bumpers and two extra detachable triggers. It also features a control panel on the bottom of the controller that has buttons for sound and mic control. There is also the ability to set up two custom profiles, which you can switch between on the fly giving you an easy way to switch configurations should you need to. Rounding out the Raiju is the standard 3.5mm headphone port and a sturdy looking 3 meter braided cable to connect it to the PS4.

Nacon’s controller is known as the Revolution, and interestingly has the analogue sticks positioned like the Xbox controller and not the Dualshock 4. These analogue sticks are apparently enhanced with innovative firmware for advanced eSports accuracy and reach,” whatever that means. There are also four custom shortcut buttons, and the ability to add weight to the controller. The Revolution can go one better than the Raiju with four custom profiles.

Both controllers are set to launch before the end of the year.
