NBC will reportedly keep G4 up and running as a television network, despite leaving it for dead earlier this year.
Kotaku relays a report from The Hollywod Reporter that claims NBC will no longer turn G4 into the new Esquire channel as originally planned, instead rebranding the Style channel as the Esquire network.
“G4 is expected to remain as is for the foreseeable future, though it's highly unlikely the company will invest in more original programming,” reads the report.
“[General Manager Of G4 Adam] Stotsky will remain in charge of that network as well as Esquire, which will remain his primary focus with regard to time, energy and resources.”
The move is made after NBC cleaned house on the network several months back, shutting down the channel’s two flagship shows and letting go of all on-air talent as well.
