As predicted by MCV, games retail has cut the price of Wii to under £100.
GAME, Gamestation and Asda are the first retailers to stock the new Mario Kart bundle (and the existing Wii Sports Resort bundle) for just £99.99. This applies to both in-store and online.
HMV has the console on sales for £115, while Play.com and ShopTo are selling the machine for £120.
Nintendo announced it would be reducing the trade price of Wii earlier this month, and estimated a retail price of £130. But MCV understood stores were preparing to go as low as £100.
Head of UK communications for GAME Group Neil Ashurst said: “The opportunity to buy the Nintendo Wii for under £100 is a fantastic chance for those who previously haven’t experienced the Wii. We are delighted to offer this deal to our customers."
