Rockstar releases Grand Theft Auto V iFruit app on iOS

A Grand Theft Auto V app has just hit iOS courtesy of Rockstar.

It’s called iFruit – you may well recognise that from the mock-Apple branding that appears in-game and has featured on some of the pre-release promotional material.

Once downloaded the app offers two separate components.

The first is called Los Santos Customs – a vehicle customisation tool. With it you can construct a vehicle and have it waiting for you the next time you boot up the game. You can also reserve a custom licence plate for use in GTA Online.

The other feature is called Chop the Dog. Chop is the pet of GTA V character Franklin. Attending to him in the app will see a boost to his efforts in GTA V, encouraging new behaviour such as the sniffing out of hidden items. Users will even be able to teach him tricks that he would not otherwise perform.

The app also features a GTA V news feed and Rocktar Games Social Club integration.
