Sega strikes Japanese EA deal

Publisher Sega has reached a deal with EA to act as distributor for its games in Japan.

Andriasang reports that the agreement kicks off right away with the publishing of EA’s Shadows of the Damned on September 22nd.

And next next month Sega hopes to publish some of EA’s back-catalogue titles.

Similar deals with other global publishers are already in place. For instance, Square Enix has acted as publisher for some Activision titles (such as Call of Duty) while Capcom has previously published Rockstar titles such as Grand Theft Auto IV.
