Online indie ShopTo has seen its software market share leap in 2012.
The firm says that, according to Chart-Track figures, its market share increased 45 per cent last year.
ShopTo has already claimed significant wins this year, securing 31 per cent of the sales of Ni No Kuni Collector’s Edition, 13 per cent of Metal Gear Rising, 26 per cent of Anarchy Reigns and 24 per cent of Castlevania on 3DS.
The firm also increased its console market share by 486 per cent, thanks to Xbox 360 promotions and an 8.6 per cent share of Wii U’s launch.
“We’ve had a fantastic 2012. It confirms our strategy for great promotions and extraordinary value on entertainment purchases is reaping rewards,” said ShopTo CEO Igor Cipolletta. “We have started 2013 with equally amazing results and believe it will continue with PS4 and Xbox 720 around the corner.”
ShopTo’s customer base grew 63 per cent in 2012.
