Shovel Knight receiving physical release in October

Shovel Knight is heading to retail in North America and Europe this October, developer Yacht Club Games has announced.

In a post on thestudio’s website, Yacht Club reveals Shovel Knight will get a boxed release for 3DS, Wii U, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 13th. A Europe-exclusive physical release of the PC version will arrive on October 16thas well.

The retail edition will include every bit of Shovel Knight content released thus far, and future updates like the upcoming Plague of Shadows update will either be included or free to download as they are released.

The indie developer also revealed the game has surpassed 700,000 sales life-to-date.
