Silent Hill attraction haunting Universal Studios parks for Halloween

The frights of the Silent Hill franchise will be on display at Universal Studios this Halloween.

Universal has announced a partnership with Konami to produce a Silent Hill-themed attraction in both its Los Angeles and Orlando parks.

The amusement parks will be adding a Silent Hill haunted maze for their Halloween Horror Nights event, which will include creatures from the franchise such as the nurses and executioner.

The attraction also ties into the upcoming film Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, premiering on October 26th.

"Creating a realistic three-dimensional world based on the disturbing Silent Hill video games and films elevates Halloween Horror Nights to the next generation of twisted entertainment," John Murdy, Universal Studios Hollywood creative director said in the announcement.

"Its incredibly imaginative and highly unsettling characters and environments make it the ideal fit for our event where the property can continue its reign of terror and fully immerse guests in its psychological horror."

The partnership marks the first time a video game property will be featured in Universal’s annual event.
